Small knife, big precision.

Every kitchen needs a paring knife for the fine work: peeling and coring fruit, trimming vegetables, scoring, segmenting citrus and deveining shrimp. The compact blade gives you close, confident control, in hand or on the board. Swiss-designed and Swiss-engineered, the Damascus paring knife pairs a razor-sharp German stainless steel blade with a striking Damascus-style pattern across the blade and a warm carbonized ash wood handle.

Why you'll love it

  • Precision control: a compact blade for peeling, trimming and detail work.
  • Razor-sharp German steel: 1.4116 (X50CrMoV15) stainless steel, hardened to 55 ±2 HRC and ground to a fine 13° edge on each side.
  • Damascus-style pattern: a flowing pattern etched across the blade makes each knife a showpiece on the counter or the table.
  • Full-tang balance: the steel runs the full length of the carbonized ash wood handle, secured with three stainless steel rivets behind a stainless steel bolster.
  • Swiss-designed, Swiss-engineered: developed by Swiss Diamond, the makers of diamond-reinforced cookware.

Frequently Asked Questions

What steel is the blade made of?

The blade is German 1.4116 (X50CrMoV15) stainless steel, hardened to 55 ±2 HRC and ground to 13° ±2° per side for a razor-sharp edge. Swiss Diamond knives are Swiss-designed and Swiss-engineered. The Damascus look is a pattern etched on the blade surface; the blade is not layered Damascus steel.

Is it dishwasher safe?

Hand washing is strongly recommended. Wash with warm, soapy water right after use and dry immediately to protect the edge and the handle. Dishwashers can dull and damage fine knives.

How do I keep the knife sharp?

Hone the edge regularly with a honing steel and sharpen with a whetstone or a professional service when honing no longer restores the edge. Always cut on wood or plastic boards, never on glass, stone, or ceramic.

What warranty do the knives have?

Swiss Diamond knives are warranted against defects in materials and workmanship for 1 year from the purchase date. Damage from misuse, accidents or commercial use is not covered. See our Warranty Information page for details.
