Is the XD nonstick coating PFOA-free?

Yes. Swiss Diamond's XD coating is PFOA-free, independently verified by the Danish Technological Institute. It is a PTFE-based nonstick reinforced with real diamond crystals for durability and easy release. If you prefer a PTFE-free, PFAS-free option, see our CXD and CHD DOU Ceramic lines.

Does every piece in this set work on induction cooktops?

Yes. Every piece in this set has a magnetic base and works on induction, as well as gas, electric, and ceramic cooktops.

Is every piece in this set oven-safe?

Yes. Every piece in this set, including the glass lids and handles, is oven-safe up to 500°F (260°C).

Do I need oil or butter when cooking?

No. The diamond-reinforced XD coating is designed for oil-free cooking. If you do use oil or butter, keep the heat at low to medium, and never use aerosol nonstick cooking sprays, which build up on the surface.

Can I put it in the dishwasher?

It is dishwasher safe, but hand washing with warm, soapy water is strongly recommended to preserve nonstick performance over the long term.

Is Swiss Diamond cookware really made in Switzerland?

Yes. Every Swiss Diamond pan is made in Switzerland at our facility in Sierre, where we have manufactured since 1974 and have never outsourced production. The cast aluminum body is pressure-cast from 100% recycled aluminum.

We’ve been using conventional Swiss

We’ve been using conventional Swiss Diamond cookware for years and have loved them. But We’re new to induction cooktops so we’re talked into buying another brand. To start with, all induction cookware is much heavier than conventional, and the handles on the brand we bought we narrow and bare stainless, so handling was very uncomfortable. So we investigated whether Swiss Diamond has induction pieces and sure enough. The Swiss Diamond pieces have wide comfortably coated handles, are somewhat lighter and have superior non-stick qualities. We’re happy!

Defective cookware

Ordered this as a birthday gift for my daughter. Two of the skillets arrived damaged. She has been working with warranty department to resolve but whith no luck at this time. Disappointing!

Still a little early to tell

We purchased the XD Induction, but do not yet have our Induction Stove. So far, they have worked well on our ceramic stovetop. The main trick is indeed to preheat the pan. Then the nonstick surface works quite well. If not, the nonstick is not nonstick, but cleanup is still extremely easy.
