Frequently Asked Questions

Is the XD nonstick coating PFOA-free?

Yes. Swiss Diamond's XD coating is PFOA-free, independently verified by the Danish Technological Institute. It is a PTFE-based nonstick reinforced with real diamond crystals for durability and easy release. If you prefer a PTFE-free, PFAS-free option, see our CXD and CHD DOU Ceramic lines.

Does this cookware work on induction cooktops?

This cookware is designed for gas, electric, and ceramic cooktops and is not induction-compatible. Swiss Diamond offers induction versions of most XD pieces; look for "Induction" in the product name.

Is this cookware oven-safe?

Yes. The pan, glass lid, and handle are oven-safe up to 500°F (260°C).

Do I need oil or butter when cooking?

No. The diamond-reinforced XD coating is designed for oil-free cooking. If you do use oil or butter, keep the heat at low to medium, and never use aerosol nonstick cooking sprays, which build up on the surface.

Can I put it in the dishwasher?

It is dishwasher safe, but hand washing with warm, soapy water is strongly recommended to preserve nonstick performance over the long term.

Is Swiss Diamond cookware really made in Switzerland?

Yes. Every Swiss Diamond pan is made in Switzerland at our facility in Sierre, where we have manufactured since 1974 and have never outsourced production. The cast aluminum body is pressure-cast from 100% recycled aluminum.

Customers praised this nonstick stock pot for its perfect size for soups and stews, excellent heat distribution requiring minimal heat, and easy cleanup. Many noted "nothing sticks" and the durable coating "lasts forever." The vented lid was appreciated. However, one customer reported difficulty removing residue, and another had a delivery issue.

Great pot. Easy to cook

Great pot. Easy to cook with and clean.

GREEN BEAN SCUM LINE ???

I BOILED FRESH GREEN BEANS - IT LEFT A RESIDUE ABOVE THE WATER LINE AND IT DOES NOT COME OFF WITH A SOAPY SPONGE AND ELBOW PRESSURE. TRIED REPEATEDLY.

amazing!

Love the size and the way it cooks so well. perfect for sauces and soups.

LOVE THIS NONSTICK!

I absolutely love this nonstick cookware. Food slips right off and nothing goes to waste. Would highly recommend.

Love my new Swiss Diamond Cookware!

I love my new Swiss Diamond cookware! Great nonstick and cleans up so easily. It is perfect for my new glass top stove.

Best Pot

I purchased the Swiss Diamond line in 2008, including the very large soup pot. That large pot is great but too big for everyday cooking, so I purchased this smaller size more recently for Mac and cheese, etc - to replace a stainless steel pot that was very difficult to clean - probably the best purchase I have ever made. Absolutely nothing - including cheese in casseroles and soups - sticks to this pot. Even leaving my previous stainless steel pot soaking overnight didn't work - I always woke up in the morning to a difficult scrub. This pot just washes out immediately - no problem - great work saver and stress reliever - absolutely love it!

Great buy. Love this cookware

Long time customer

The absolute best cookware I have ever used. I now have three pieces for myself as well as giving several as gifts. Everyone loves them.

great cook ware

swiss is the best for cook ware and great customer service

A super pot

My first experience with the 5.5 qt Swiss Diamond pot was great! I sauted beef, added water and vegetables, simmered and served. The pot was perfectly heated, held a simmer well, poured well and cleaned with ease. Storage size with its inverted lid makes it handy to access. It does what ALL pots should do.

Workhorse

This pot is so versatile for soups, pot roasts and large quantities of starches or veggies all cooked in even heating and nonstick Pot. Have replaced all our pots w Swiss Diamond over time, so happy!

Excellent

Great cookware!

Great cookware!

Great Purchase

A size that I really needed and such great quality. This is my first piece of the upgraded version, which actually is more nonstick and even looks different. Still love my initial set bought in 2008 too.

Cookware that lives up to its reputation!

What is super nice about the Swiss Diamond cookware is that it is coated on all sides but the bottom so it never gets a stained look! It always looks new! Oh, and it cooks great and is easy to clean!

All of my Swiss diamond

All of my Swiss diamond pieces are great. They last forever. We had a store in town that carried them so it was easy to look at all the pieces. They have heaver bottoms for good heat distribution., I never need high heat with them. I love them!

Better than expected

I bought this to replace the one I had that was around 4 years old. The finish on the new ones seems to be improved. It’s a great size pot for cooking soups, stews and boiling water for pasta.

Perfect size for veggies

Heads of cauliflower cook great in this pot! Also great for batches of soup and sauces

Great soup and stew pot!

I love this soup pot. It’s a perfect size for my needs, beautifully made, and the only nonstick finish that seemingly lasts forever. All other types are supposedly nonstick, but only for a few months even with careful use. I’m gradually replacing all my cookware with Swiss Diamond products. Strongly recommend them.

Excellent pot and great surface.

Excellent pot and great surface. This is my 2nd pot and the surface seems more substantial (and I got over 7 years from its older cousin).

Val

I bought this stock pot two years ago and I love it. It turned out to be the exact pot I've been looking to buy for a while. In spite its size, it is light and can be easily handled on the stove. Its thick walls provide excellent heat retention and it's good for stewing. I strongly recommend it.

Love.. love … love these

Love.. love … love these pots & pans. I have a huge set of them but needed to Add a smaller stock pot!

Another great buy

I have always been delighted with every purchase I have made from Swiss Diamond. The quality is unmatched. If I had a bigger kitchen I would buy more!!!
